Advanced S-VIXTA Visualization for a Compact 27-Inch 4K Surgical Monitor

Built around the SOIN AIU270 family, NEXARA X 27 combines a compact 27-inch 4K surgical monitor format with the shared NEXARA 4K display platform and integrated S-VIXTA image enhancement.

As an AI-enhanced 4K surgical monitor, it retains the core NEXARA display functions for source compatibility, image control and medical video presentation while adding S-VIXTA controls for overall optimization, haze reduction, depth presentation, and vessel and tissue visibility.

S-VIXTA intelligent visualization comparison

S-VIXTA Intelligent Visualization

S-VIXTA is SOINVISION’s medical imaging enhancement technology used in the NEXARA X series.

On NEXARA X 27, S-VIXTA adds Global Optimize, Defog, Depth Enhancement and Vessel & Tissue Visibility Enhancement as an additional visualization layer on top of the shared NEXARA 4K platform.

Users can fine-tune the effect for overall image clarity, haze reduction, depth presentation, and vessel or tissue visibility.

These enhancement functions are distinct from shared NEXARA capabilities such as 1080p-to-4K enhancement, HDR modes, Gamma, Multi-View, Image Flip and display color controls.

S-VIXTA Global Optimize

Global Optimize provides an overall image-enhancement option within the S-VIXTA platform.

It can be used when the displayed image benefits from broader optimization before the user moves to more specific enhancement controls such as Defog, Depth Enhancement or Vessel & Tissue Visibility Enhancement.

S-VIXTA Defog comparison for hazy medical images

S-VIXTA Defog Enhancement

On NEXARA X 27, Defog can be applied when haze reduces the clarity of compatible surgical or endoscopy video.

The enhancement reduces the visible haze effect in the displayed image, helping image structures remain more distinguishable during close viewing on the compact 27-inch screen.

S-VIXTA Depth Enhancement

Depth Enhancement strengthens depth-related visual cues and separation within the displayed image.

The processing is intended to make depth differences more apparent in the on-screen presentation while leaving the upstream surgical or endoscopy source unchanged.

Vessel and tissue visibility enhancement comparison

Vessel & Tissue Visibility Enhancement

Vessel & Tissue Visibility Enhancement is designed to make vessel- and tissue-related visual information more distinguishable in compatible surgical video.

For close viewing on the compact 27-inch display, the enhancement provides an additional way to emphasize these image differences when greater visual separation is preferred.

1080p to 4K Enhancement

NEXARA X 27 supports compatible native 4K signals as well as 1080p / Full HD surgical and endoscopy video sources.

Compatible Full HD video can use the shared NEXARA 1080p-to-4K enhancement for presentation on the native 3840 × 2160 panel. This allows an existing Full HD surgical or endoscopy video system to continue feeding the 27-inch 4K surgical display when the monitor is upgraded, without requiring every upstream source to move to native 4K at the same time.

1080p-to-4K enhancement belongs to the shared NEXARA core rather than the S-VIXTA enhancement layer. Enhanced Full HD content also remains different from video acquired natively in 4K.

178-degree wide viewing angle for collaborative medical visualization

178° Wide Viewing Angle

The 178° viewing angle supports visibility when the display is viewed from positions away from the central axis.

In a compact surgical or endoscopy setup, this allows nearby users to view the screen from different positions without requiring everyone to remain directly centered in front of the monitor.

Medical Display Modes & Color Spaces

NEXARA X 27 provides separate Color Mode and Color Space controls for different medical video sources and system configurations.

Color Mode: Standard / BT.709 / BT.2020 / DICOM / PQ / HLG / Custom1 / Custom2 / Custom3

Color Space: Native / BT.709 / DCI-P3 / BT.2020

These settings establish the base display and color configuration independently from the S-VIXTA image-enhancement controls.

PBP

Multi-View Display with PIP & PBP

NEXARA X 27 supports Multi-View functions for compatible video sources, including PIP and PBP.

A primary surgical or endoscopy image can remain visible while a secondary compatible source is presented on the same 27-inch surgical display when more than one signal needs to be viewed.

On the compact 27-inch format, Multi-View functions as an additional source-management capability and remains part of the shared NEXARA display platform rather than the S-VIXTA enhancement layer.

SDR & HDR Support with HLG & PQ

NEXARA X 27 accommodates both SDR and HDR surgical or endoscopy video sources within its compact 4K display platform.

Standard SDR-oriented configurations remain available for conventional sources, while HLG and PQ display modes can be selected when compatible HDR signals are connected.

Gamma Adjustment & Tonal Control

NEXARA X 27 provides selectable Gamma settings for control over image gradation and mid-tone presentation.

Gamma Values: 1.8 / 1.9 / 2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 / 2.3 / 2.4 / 2.5 / 2.6 / Linear

Additional Gamma Modes: DICOM / PQ / HLG

Gamma remains part of the shared NEXARA image-control platform and can be configured independently from S-VIXTA enhancement.

Image Flip & Orientation Control

NEXARA X 27 supports horizontal, vertical and combined image flip when the orientation of the incoming video source does not match the required on-screen presentation.

This provides practical flexibility in compact surgical and endoscopy installations where camera orientation, source configuration or display placement may affect the preferred image direction.

Other Special Functions

Professional Image Adjustment

Professional image adjustment controls

NEXARA X 27 provides detailed image-adjustment controls for different source conditions and viewing preferences.

Adjustment Controls: Brightness / Contrast / Sharpness / Saturation

Aspect Ratio: 1:1 / 16:9 / 4:3 / 5:4

Video Range: Auto / Full / Limited

These controls allow the display to accommodate different medical video formats and signal configurations without relying on a single fixed presentation setting.

Custom Color Temperature & RGB Gain

Color-temperature and RGB adjustment controls

NEXARA X 27 provides preset 9300K, 8500K and 6500K color-temperature settings together with a User mode for manual adjustment.

In User mode, the Red, Green and Blue channel gain can each be adjusted independently from 0 to 600, allowing the base color balance of surgical and endoscopy video to be refined directly on the display.

Freeze Frame for Surgical Video Reference

Live view and frozen-frame comparison

NEXARA X 27 can temporarily freeze the current surgical or endoscopy image on the display when a static visual reference is required.

The current frame remains visible on the compact screen while the connected video source does not need to be paused.
