WHY 27-INCH?
A Practical Balance Between Viewing Area and Installation Flexibility
For installations where the display sits close to the operator or must fit into a limited equipment envelope, 27 inches offers a practical balance: enough area for 4K medical imagery without the physical demands of a larger screen.
01
Designed for Focused Viewing
The 27-inch panel keeps the visual field concentrated at shorter working distances. It fits operator-side positions where the larger surface of a 32- or 43-inch display is not necessary.

A compact viewing format for operator-side and equipment-adjacent positions.
02
Practical Integration in Compact Systems
At 9.4 kg, the U270 family supports compact system layouts with VESA 100 × 100 mm cart mounting and 100 × 200 mm wall mounting.

Core Visualization & Image Control
Within SOINVISION’s standard NEXARA range, NEXARA 27 is built around the SOIN U270 family, including U270SE and U270Pro. This 27-inch 4K medical monitor combines a native 3840 × 2160 panel with flexible source compatibility, color management and image controls for medical video integration.
Its compact format is suited to closer viewing positions and space-conscious medical video systems, while the display controls allow the monitor to adapt to different source resolutions, image formats and system configurations.

1080p to 4K Enhancement
NEXARA 27 supports compatible 1080p / Full HD video sources and enhances them for presentation on its native 3840 × 2160 panel.
This allows existing Full HD medical video equipment to remain in use when the system is upgraded to a 27-inch 4K medical display. In systems where upstream equipment is still Full HD, the monitor can therefore be upgraded without requiring every source device to move to native 4K at the same time.
1080p-to-4K enhancement improves the presentation of Full HD content on the 4K panel, but it does not turn the original source into native 4K acquisition.
SDR & HDR Support with HLG & PQ
NEXARA 27 supports conventional SDR presentation settings alongside HLG and PQ display modes for compatible HDR video signals.
This allows the compact 27-inch display to work with both standard medical video sources and HDR-capable equipment, with the corresponding display mode selected according to the incoming signal format.

Medical Imaging Modes for Flexible Source Matching
NEXARA 27 provides selectable imaging modes for different medical video sources, including BT.709 and BT.2020 for SDR color workflows, PQ and HLG for compatible HDR signals, and DICOM as an additional viewing mode.
For compact medical video systems that may connect to different source equipment, these presets make it easier to select a display mode that matches the incoming signal and viewing requirement.
Adjustable Gamma for Mid-Tone Control
NEXARA 27 provides selectable Gamma values from 1.8 to 2.6 in 0.1 steps, plus Linear, giving users direct control over image gradation and mid-tone presentation.
Lower Gamma values produce brighter mid-tones, while higher values create a darker tonal presentation. Gamma 2.2 provides a balanced reference point, with other settings available when the source or viewing setup requires a different tonal response.

Bottom 3-Split
Multi-View Display with PIP & PBP
NEXARA 27 supports multi-view functions including PIP and PBP for compatible video sources.
A primary medical video image can remain visible while a secondary compatible source is shown alongside it when the workflow requires more than one signal on screen.
On the compact 27-inch format, multi-view serves as an additional source-management capability rather than changing the monitor’s primary close-viewing role.
Image Flip for Compact System Integration
NEXARA 27 supports horizontal, vertical and combined image flip when the orientation of the incoming video source does not match the required on-screen presentation.
This provides practical flexibility in compact medical installations where source equipment and display placement may vary.

178° Wide Viewing Angle
The 178° viewing angle helps maintain image visibility when the monitor is viewed from positions away from the central axis.
This is useful in compact medical installations where the operator, assistant or another nearby viewer may change position around the display instead of remaining directly in front of it.
Other Special Functions
Flexible Image and Source Adjustment

NEXARA 27 provides direct control over brightness, contrast, sharpness and saturation, together with selectable aspect-ratio and video-range settings for different medical video sources.
Aspect ratios including 1:1, 16:9, 4:3 and 5:4 allow the compact 27-inch display to accommodate different source formats without relying on a single fixed screen layout.
Auto, Full and Limited video-range options provide additional flexibility when integrating the monitor with different source equipment.
Color Temperature and RGB Gain

NEXARA 27 provides 9300K, 8500K, 6500K and User color-temperature settings for different medical video configurations.
In User mode, the R, G and B channel gain can each be adjusted independently from 0 to 600, providing finer control over the display’s color balance.
Freeze Frame

Freeze Frame temporarily holds the current video image on screen when a static frame is needed for viewing or reference.
The image can remain visible at the display without requiring the connected video source itself to be paused.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions About SOIN NEXARA 27 and the U270 Family
Answers to common questions about applications, interfaces, system compatibility, and configuration support.
What is SOIN U270 and how does it relate to NEXARA 27?
SOIN U270 is the model family behind the 27-inch product in the standard NEXARA series. U270SE and U270Pro are the two confirmed configurations on this page, both using the same 27-inch 3840 × 2160 display foundation.
How is the standard NEXARA 27 different from NEXARA X 27?
NEXARA 27 is the standard 4K family built around U270. NEXARA X 27 uses the AIU270 family and adds the S-VIXTA enhancement layer, including Global Optimize, Defog, Depth Enhancement, Vessel & Tissue Visibility Enhancement and AI Enhancement Level 0–10.
How do I choose between U270SE and U270Pro?
Start with the signal path. Both belong to the same NEXARA 27-inch platform, so the decision is mainly determined by the interfaces required by the connected imaging equipment. U270Pro is the expanded-connectivity option; U270SE is the standard configuration.
Where does the 27-inch NEXARA fit compared with the 32-inch and 43-inch sizes?
The 27-inch format is the most compact NEXARA option and is suited to closer working positions and installations with tighter space limits. Choose 32 inches when more primary viewing area is useful, or 43 inches for a larger fixed display surface and more distant or shared viewing.
Can the U270 family display both 4K and Full HD sources?
The panel resolution is 3840 × 2160. Compatible native 4K signals can be displayed directly, while compatible 1080p sources can use the NEXARA 1080p-to-4K enhancement function. Upscaled Full HD is not the same as native 4K acquisition.
What mounting options are available for the 27-inch NEXARA?
The 27-inch family supports VESA 100 × 100 mm for cart mounting and 100 × 200 mm for wall mounting. Final installation should also account for the system structure, cable routing and surrounding equipment.
What should be checked before integrating NEXARA 27 into an endoscopy system?
Confirm the video source output, resolution and frame rate, required signal interfaces, mounting arrangement, power connection and cable routing. The choice between U270SE and U270Pro should follow the signal path required by the endoscopy system.
